Retraining and Return to Work
Employers and injured workers benefit when employees return to work. Retraining of injured workers lets employers maintain the value they've made in their employees. By bringing them back into the work force as soon as medically possible.
Return to work policy also provides an incentive for employers that meet the following:
- 50 or more employees that bring injured workers back to the job
- Employers with 50 or more workers that offer injured employees regular, modified or alternative work
Employers with 50 or more workers who don't make a return to work offer will pay 15 percent more in weekly permanent disability benefits.
